AN OVERVIEW OF THE CORPORATE TRANSPARENCY ACT

The Corporate Transparency Act is a new Reporting Rule that requires certain entities to file beneficial ownership information (BOI) reports to the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN). Reports contain information about the entity itself and two categories of individuals: Beneficial owners and Company applicants. This Act is set to take effect in January 2024.

Success Story
Blue Wrench
My business partner and I purchased Blue Wrench Truck and Auto Repair in April 2022, and I reached out to SCORE Treasure Valley almost immediately. My mentors, Dave and Don, gave me actionable suggestions that immediately improved our business. After I told them I was interested in procuring government contracts, they advised against it, explained why, and suggested alternate growth routes instead. Since then, I've been meeting with them monthly. They help me set goals and strategy, and keep me accountable. As a result, we implement 90% of their advice.
